Rosemaling - Rosemaling is the name of a form of decorative flower painting that originated in the low-land areas of eastern Norway in about 1750, when Baroque, Rengeny and Rococo, artistic styles of the upper class, were introduced into Norway’s rural culture. Rosemaling designs use C and S strokes and feature scroll and flowing lines, floral designs, and subtle colors.
T class (locomotive) - The T class was the first class of steam locomotive made by Baldwin to operate in New Zealand. Based on a design already used for the Denver and Rio Grande, it was much less decorative than the Rogers K class that had immediately preceded it, utilised a wheel arrangement of 2-8-0, and although it was very powerful for its day, it was typically limited to a speed of 29 km/h (18 mph).
Life class - A life class is a class held in art schools for the purpose of instructing art students on drawing or painting the human figure from live models. Life classes are usually reserved for more advanced students because of the complexities of the human figure and other aesthetic considerations not encountered in more objective subjects.
